MELVIN E. LINDSLEY
PRESIDENT
Melvin is a Military Veteran with four years in the United States Marine Corps having served 13 months in combat operations in South Vietnam in 1967/68. His last 2 years were spent at the National Security Agency (NSA) Fort George G. Meade MD. He is a retired Federal Law Enforcement Professional of the U. S. Secret Service with twenty years of service. Melvin is an experienced business owner as President and CEO of a Minority Owned Small Business for twenty years providing consulting and operations management services in the Solid Waste and Recycling Industry. He currently resides at Laureland Place with his wife Margaret and is serving in his third year on the board and first year as board president.
CHARLES BELL
VICE PRESIDENT
Originally from Miss/New Orleans, Graduated Alabama A & M university, MBA, Dallas Baptist University. Started my career in Engineering working for Lockheed Martin and have been a lifetime consultant, currently an IT business consultant. I moved to the DC area approximately 5 years ago from Dallas Fort Worth Texas. I have lived in Ashford for 4years. I am into my 3rd year as an Ashford board member. "I am looking forward to continuing to serve the Ashford Community to make it better for all the residents!"
BRYAN SWANN
TREASURER
Currently the Head of Global Data Management Oversight at PayPal Inc. where he manages and oversees the company global data strategy. During his career, Bryan has held several other key leadership positions as well as leadership roles at the Department of Defense. Additionally, Bryan has served on a number of boards in both the public and private sectors. he continues his community work by facilitating achievement, success, and financial wealth seminars to various organizations. In his free time, he enjoys investing, technology, mentoring/helping others, playing golf & basketball, fitness, salsa, traveling, and time with his family and serving in his church.
MARCI HURTADO
SECRETARY
A military veteran with 11 years active duty in the U.S. Army; served 10 months in the Gulf War 1990-1991 and worked 3 years at the National Security Agency while on active duty. Currently a Human Resources Specialist for the Federal Government for the past 22 years. Has been an Ashford homeowner for 25 years.
LATAISIA JOHNSON - HOA MEMBER AT LARGE
Dr. Lataisia Jones is a scientist and STEM educator. She has been living at Ashford community for two years and has joined the HOA board in October of 2023 as a member at large.
